From the Editor ZIPSPORT India is the largest circulated Indian sports publication in the United States, as well as the largest circulated overseas Indian sports publication in the world. Back in 2003, I took a look around and saw that no other sports-related publication had targeted the Indian American market. Living in the New York/New Jersey area, it's easy to see why this metro area has earned the monicker of Little India here in the USA. Among the community there were rabid fans, moderate followers, and casual observers of American as well as world sport. They needed an avenue to access sports news in a way they were used to, in a voice they could call their own. The result was ZIPSPORT India, the first and only sports-related publication in the Indian-American and now Asian-American communities in North America. Thanks to you the readers, our popularity has grown and with it, we have informed, entertained, and educated the community about the sports world around them that many before had not bothered to notice. Thanks also to our advertisers who have reaped the benefits of our growing exposure by just investing in the idea that Indians do follow other sports besides Cricket. And they follow it hard. I get letters each week from fans in the community across the continent thanking me for providing a medium where they get their sports news their way.
